What is the National Student Board (NSB)?
The NASSS National Student Board represents the pinnacle of student leadership within NASSS. Seven exceptional students are elected annually at the National Conference by their peers, serving as the voice of every member nationwide. Each board member brings unique perspectives and experiences from their home chapters while working collaboratively to advance NASSS's mission of promoting excellence in social science education.
Positions:
7 NASSS Officers are elected every year by voting at the national conference. Candidates will be informed of election requirements upon registration. To register a candidate must be in good standing and be in either 6-8 grade for middle school positions or 9-12 grade in high school positions. A student can submit their registration form in their profile. The following national officer positions include:

High School President: Overall high school national leadership and coordination

Middle School President: Overall middle school national leadership and coordination

High School Vice President: Assists high school president and leads in their absence

Middle School Vice President: Assists middle school president and leads in their absence

Middle and High School Secretary: Records national meetings and manages documentation

Middle and High School Treasurer: Handles national finances and fundraising activities

Middle and High School Parliamentarian: Ensures proper meeting procedures in national conferences, judge of the final Parliamentary Procedure Competition round and ensures rule adherence

Board members regularly present at conferences, facilitate workshops, and represent NASSS at educational events nationwide. This hands-on experience prepares them for future leadership roles in college and beyond.

How to Run:

Check Eligibility - Grades 6-8 for middle school positions, 9-12 for high school positions
