Frequently Asked Questions

What age groups does NASSS work with?

We primarily focus on empowering elementary and middle school students (grades K–8), helping them build confidence and leadership skills early on.

How long are the workshops?

Our sessions are highly flexible to fit your schedule. They can last anywhere from 15 minutes to a full hour, depending on the needs of the teacher or coordinator.

Where do your workshops take place?

Our student leaders travel directly to the community! We host sessions in school classrooms, local libraries, civic centers, and community spaces.

What do students do during a session?

Instead of sitting through a lecture, students participate in high-energy, hands-on activities. This includes public speaking games, mock debates, and guided exercises that teach structured argumentation and respectful dialogue.

How much do your programs cost?

As a student-led organization dedicated to community empowerment, we offer completely free programs!

How can we book a workshop?

It’s simple! Just head over to our Contact Us section and send us an email with your location, estimated time availability, and goals. Our team will get back to you to coordinate the details.

Is there an adult supervisor?

Yes, absolutely. While NASSS is proudly student-led and student-run, we prioritize safety and professionalism. An adult advisor is always present during our workshops and school visits.

Where do you currently operate?

Currently, NASSS offers programs exclusively in Palm Beach, Broward, and Martin Counties in Florida! We partner with local schools, libraries, and civic centers to deliver our workshops directly to students. If you are interested in bringing NASSS to your area, please reach out to us via email to discuss potential scheduling and availability.
